Cancellation Policy

You are free to schedule as many or as few therapy appointments as you’d like. There is no set limit on how many you can schedule, and it is 100% up to you how often you’d like to meet.

Follow-through is a part of being responsible. If you schedule a therapy appointment, then you agree to meet on that day at that time. I also agree to meet you on the day and time of your choosing.

If I cancel for any reason within 48 hours of your appointment, then I will give you a free therapy session on a different day and/or time.

If you cancel within 48 hours of the appointment, then you’ll receive an invoice of the amount of the session. In order to schedule another appointment, you must pay the invoice in full.

A “no show” (you don’t arrive at the appointment) counts as a cancellation. Being more than 10 minutes late also counts as a cancellation.

Occasionally I’ll send a “Feeless Cancellation” email within 48 hours of your appointment. I might send this email on inclement weather days, for example. When you get this email, you are free to cancel without having to pay or you can keep the appointment. I am fine with whatever you choose. I have no negative feelings regarding cancellations. If you are fine with paying the fee, then feel free to cancel as many times as you’d like.

Part of my job is to have up-to-date technology and working equipment, including a solid internet connection, working audio, and working video without lags, delays, or disconnects. If you want to have an uninterrupted session then it’s up to you to ensure that your technology is working on your end as well. (tip: try to be as close to your router as possible for a less choppy session)

General Polices and Information

There is no wrong way to move forward with your therapy. Some people schedule one meeting at a time. Some set up a routine. Some people do bursts of 3 or 4 and then take a few months to think about things and then come back for another burst. Make it work however you want to.

If you’re unsure of how to start, try scheduling weekly or every-other-week. Once a week is a sprint. Every-other-week is a brisk job. Either way, we’ll get somewhere. And once we get some momentum, it’ll probably be appropriate to slow down.

A “clinical hour” is 53 minutes. I really need the 7 minutes between meetings in order to refill my water and empty my bladder. I give verbal warnings in the last few minutes of our meets in order for us to jot down some final thoughts. This is a cure that we need to start winding down. Thanks for respecting this.
